Two well-known Fife organisations have come together to help nurture and develop the footballing skills of children across the Kingdom.

Cupar-based AM Soccer Club, the highly respected community football organisation has joined forces with award-winning holiday park operator, Abbeyford Leisure, to help promote the benefits of playing football from a young age. Established in 2006 by Heart of Midlothian and Northern Ireland Assistant Coach, Austin MacPhee; AM Soccer Club’s approach and ethos has won plaudits the world over and has an unrivalled reputation for developing young players.

“One of the ways we do this is via our Holiday Programmes across Fife”, says Club Co-ordinator Daniel Curnyn. “We’re keen to reach out to as many youngsters as possible and to give them the opportunity to enjoy the game, to build confidence and to reach their full potential - that’s why we’re delighted to secure this new sponsor deal with Abbeyford Leisure.”

Peter Davies, Sales & Marketing Manager for Abbeyford Leisure, said: “We’ve worked with AM Soccer Club over the last 2-3 years and have introduced hundreds of children and families to their unique way of coaching via our affiliated Abbeyford Active taster sessions at Elie Holiday Park, so are delighted to formalise our relationship with them in this way. Our popular free taster sessions at Elie Holiday Park will continue over Easter and the summer school holidays and are open to 5-12 year boys and girls staying at our Elie, St Andrews and St Monans Holiday Parks and youngsters in the local area too.”
