Saturday marked the return of the Abbeyford Challenge, a 10 mile sponsored walk in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer.

Now in its fourth year, walkers started the challenge at Anstruther Golf Course before tackling a 10 mile hike along the beautiful Fife Coastal Path to Elie Holiday Park at Shell Bay. Dave Murdoch, seasonal tourer at Elie Holiday Park completed the trek in the fastest time of 1 hour and 50 minutes, closely followed by Marshall Potter, Sandy Dunsire and Danielle Park.

Challengers were welcomed back to Elie Holiday Park with refreshments, goodie bags and the magnificent skirl of a bag piper. Final monies raised are still being counted and details will be announced on our Facebook page in September.
