Helping furnish the people of Fife is a real plus

Abbeyford Leisure's Kevan Lodge with William Loch from Furniture Plus, at Elie Holiday Park

The team at Abbeyford Leisure is delighted to support Furniture Plus, Fife's leading furniture re-use charity and has donated a lorry full of quality inventory items previously used within their holiday homes across Elie and St Andrews Holiday Parks.

Abbeyford Leisure Director, Kevan Lodge, said: "We're proud to support Furniture Plus in this way, we regularly update our holiday home inventory and it is fantastic to know that our top quality crockery, pots and pans and household items will be put to such good use."

Furniture Plus General Manager, Alison Brown said: "Many thanks for thinking of us and your very generous donation - we'll create some starter home packs and give these away free of charge to people moving into tenancy. Our mission is to 'help furnish the people of Fife' and Abbeyford Leisure has certainly helped to achieve that - thank you."

Furniture Plus's main aim is to combat poverty and social exclusion, especially homelessness through its core business activity of reusing and/or recycling furniture. You can find out more at www.furnitureplus.org.uk .
