Elie Holiday Park at Shell Bay

A hidden gem and a family favourite

A long drive down a private road leads you into a wide expanse of dunes and sandy beaches. This is Shell Bay, one of Fife’s hidden gems, easy to reach but not easy to leave – childhood memories are made here.

Surrounded by a nature reserve and woodlands and with its own private beach, there is always plenty to do and see. You’ll find wildlife in abundance, from Kestrels to Curlews and Eider Duck to Snow Bunting.

Whilst in the forest be sure to look out for the Red Squirrel or the bobbing white backside of the Roe Deer! The nearby fishing villages of Pittenweem, St Monans and Crail are an artist’s paradise and make a great day out.

Situated on both the Fife Coastal Path and East Neuk cycle trail, the park is the perfect base for cycling and rambling enthusiasts. And when it’s time to relax, you can be sure of a warm welcome in the bar and restaurant, where you can enjoy a variety of entertainment throughout the season.
