Portmeirion Village
This unique village is set on its own private peninsula on the southern shores of Snowdonia. It was created by Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis (1883-1978) to demonstrate how a naturally beautiful place could be developed without spoiling it. Llechwedd Slate Caverns
Winner of all major tourism awards, Llechwedd offers two underground rides and free surface attractions.
The Deep Mine tour begins with a ride on Britain's steepest passenger railway for a walk through ten sound and light sequences, led by the ghost of a Victorian miner. The Miners Tramway is a guided tour with demonstrations of Victorian mining skills. In the Victorian Village, re-minted Victorian coins are available from The Old Bank for such delights as a penn'orth of boiled sweets at the Corner Shop, or a pint at the Village Pub. Bodnant Garden
Bodnant Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the UK, spanning some 80 acres and is situated above the River Conwy on ground sloping towards the west and looking across the valley towards the Snowdonia range.
The garden has two parts. The upper garden around Bodnant Hall consists of the terraced gardens and informal lawns shaded by trees.

Snowdon Mountain Railway
Travel on the only public track and pinion railway to the Summit of Snowdon, at 3560ft the highest mountain in England and Wales.
Your journey begins at Llanberis Station and continues across an impressive viaduct, past a spectacular waterfall cascading through an ancient oak forest before starting the long haul up to the ridge and onto the mountain itself.
During your ascent of the mountain listen to an in-carriage commentary revealing the secrets of Snowdonia, a region rich in landscape, wildlife and myth. On fine days the views from the summit are breathtaking and take in the Isle of Man and the Wicklow mountains in Ireland. During your thirty minute stay at the peak you can simply savour the views or make use of the summit facilities.
