£35,000 pa + bonus opportunity


The Grounds Manager position carries the following benefits:

The candidate must have a minimum of three years’ experience managing and supervising a team within a manual labour environment. Experience of working on a caravan park is not essential as full training will be given. In addition, a full driving licence is required.

Abbeyford Leisure have been operating for over 70 years and the group currently comprises three holiday parks. Located in the East Neuk of Fife, the multi-award winning Elie Holiday Park is a true hidden gem nestled behind a wide expanse of dunes and a sweeping sandy beach.

About the Role

The Grounds Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the grounds department, and associated workloads for Elie Holiday Park & St Monans Holiday Park to the satisfaction of the Park General Manager.

We are looking for a hands-on manager to motivate and lead our grounds team in the efficient running of the grounds as well as the maintenance function on park, ensuring the park is immaculately presented at all times.

You’ll delegate tasks to the team, prioritising work accordingly, as well as supporting them with jobs. When necessary, you’ll also partake in the siting and de-siting of caravans, in a safe and secure manner.

You’ll ensure regular communication takes place with the sales team, keeping them up to date with progress of current and outstanding maintenance jobs as well as caravan moves.


  • The Management and control of the grounds team, ensuring they carry out their duties correctly and safely.
  • Ensure the holiday park grounds, areas of forest, and the beach are kept to exacting high standards.
  • Attend the weekly Heads of Department meetings.
  • The management of all stock items within your control, this will include but not exclusive to plumbing parts and pitch renovation materials.
  • Ensure that all work areas, including the storage compound are well organised, tidy and secure. All tools and equipment are to be used and stored appropriately and accounted for.
  • Ensure plant rooms are monitored to ensure the efficient running of heating systems, reporting any issues to the Park General Manager.
  • Manage the process of disconnection, connection and movement of caravans at both Elie and St Monans in a safe and secure manner.
  • The safe delivery, connection and collection of gas cylinders to holiday homes are completed using the correct equipment.
  • At all times carry out your duties and those of your team in accordance with company policies and procedures.
